Lakeside Health Centre was one of 25 health care schemes LIFT initiative by BBG PCT.
Marks Heeley carried out a full structural engineering design including driven piled foundations in alluvium, reinforced concrete ground beams/pile caps and the structural steelwork frame stabilized by insitu concrete cores.

Floor plates comprise 125 insitu concrete on Super Holorib.

External elevations comprised a singular skin 140 blockwork external rain screen/stow render.

Significant consideration with regard to the site, was the presence of high methane concentrations associated with the alluvium of the Thames Delta.

A designed monoflex membrane was put in place on top of the suspended slab comprising PC wide planks.

The project was completed/occupied during December 2007.
